Unmuted
Every Saturday at 9am, a new voice will rise across Liberia, your voice. Through The Justice and Rights Show, Action for Justice and Human Rights (AJHR) is creating a space where young people, survivors, advocates, and everyday Liberians can engage directly on the urgent issues of justice, equality, and human rights.
Hosted by AJHR’s own Satta, Linda, Philip, Faith and others, the Justice and Rights Show is an hour-long radio and online broadcast designed to inform, investigate, and empower. Our mission is clear: shine a light on human rights abuses, amplify the stories that too often go unheard, and support survivors of sexual violence through knowledge, solidarity, and action.
Each week, you’ll hear real conversations about:
Access to justice from reporting rape to fighting for a war crimes court
Sexual and gender-based violence and how communities can stand against it
The rights of children and women, especially where these rights are ignored
Poverty, police brutality, and systemic failures, breaking down how they connect to human rights
We know that knowledge is power. That’s why the Justice and Rights Show will also share vital details on SGBV referral centers, support resources, and legal rights, so no survivor feels alone or without a path forward.
The program is part of a wider youth-led mission: at AJHR, we believe that young people are not only the future, but the right-now. Our WeSay Change project has shown how grassroots organizing, survivor-centered campaigns, and powerful media platforms can challenge Liberia’s rape culture and impunity. The Justice and Rights Show takes this vision further, giving you the tools to speak out, fight back, and demand change.
What to Expect
Each show kicks off with our theme song, Changes by Tupac, a tribute to the courage and spirit of transformation we believe in. From there, we’ll feature presentations, guest experts, live call-ins, and even giveaways to encourage community engagement.
This Saturday’s opening show will explore:
What does access to justice and human rights look like in Liberia?
How does the TRC, war crimes court, and daily struggles of survivors intersect?
Our presenter, Satta Sheriff, will break down these critical questions, share personal experiences, and invite YOU our audience, to call in, ask questions, and help shape this conversation.
Why It Matters
The right to justice is not a privilege. It is a promise, and far too many Liberians have seen that promise broken. Whether you are a survivor, a concerned parent, a teacher, a youth leader, or just someone who cares about fairness, The Justice and Rights Show belongs to you. Together, we can build a culture where no voice is muted and no injustice is ignored.
Tune in every Saturday, 9-10am, and be part of the change.
